Tampa Bay batted around in the fourth inning, scoring five runs to erase an early Boston lead and went on to defeat the Red Sox 5-3 Tuesday night at Tropicana Field. Tampa’s rally made a winner out of left-handed starter Matt Moore who improved to 7-0 on the season while John Lackey, failing to make it out of the fifth inning, suffered the loss to fall 1-4 on the season. The win marked the sixth straight for Tampa while Boston dropped its 9th game in the last 11 outings.
