MET’S BUCK HAS MORE RBI’S THAN THE ENTIRE MIAMI MARLINS

New York Mets John Buck high-fives teammate Ike Davis in game against Twins in MinneapolisThe New York Mets’ John Buck is a man on-fire at the start of this season. The NY catcher blasted a grand slam last night in the Mets’ 16-5 shellacking of Miami.  He is hitting  .351 on the season and has launched six home runs in ten games.  He has hit at least one home run in his past four consecutive games.  Not bad numbers considering he only hit twelve round-trippers all last season.  Buck has climbed into a tie for RBI’s with Baltimore Oriole Chris Davis – each with league leading 19.

Buck was acquired by the Mets at the end of the 2012 season in the deal that brought top prospects Travis d’Arnaud and Noah Syndergaard to the Mets for R.A. Dickey.
