Milwaukee-Brewers-logoThe brew-crew emerged from their season starting coma to defeat the Chicago Cubs 7-4 on Monday afternoon.  The Brewers garnered their first win after five straight losses to spoil the home-opener of the Cubbies.

Brewers’ Ryan Braun and Martin Moldando each rang up three hits for the crew while teammate Norichika Aoki had a career high four hits in the game.  Milwaukee starter Marco Estrada also got in on the offensive action adding a double of his own in the 7th inning.

Cubs starter Edwin Jackson gave up five runs on eight hits while going six innings.  Chicago’s scoring opportunities came in the 2nd inning (two runs) and again in the bottom of the 9th (two runs).  Brewer reliever Jim Henderson struck out Dave Sappelt and Starlin Castro flied out deep to right with the bases loaded for his first save.
